Richard Riehle is a prolific American character actor who has made numerous appearances in film and television. Notable roles of his include the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, the action-thriller Executive Decision opposite Kurt Russell and Steven Seagal, and the horror-comedy film Hatchet.
Riehle has appeared in two episodes of Columbo playing Sergeant Degarmo. He was first introduced in Ashes to Ashes in 1998 then reprised the role in Murder with Too Many Notes in 2001. Both episodes where directed by Patrick McGoohan.
