Martha Scott (September 22 1912 - May 28 2003) was an American actress. She appeared in major Hollywood classics such as The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur, playing the mother of Charlton Heston's character both times. She nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Our Town in 1940. She also made guest appearances on numerous TV shows during the 70s, including in the Columbo episode Playback where she played murder victim Margaret Midas.
Martha Scott died of natural causes in Los Angeles in 2003. She was 90 years old.
