Agenda for Murder is the third episode of the ninth season of Columbo and the fifty-second episode overall. It first aired on February 10, 1990 and was directed by Patrick McGoohan, his first contribution to Columbo since the last episode of Season 5 in 1976. McGoohan also stars in the episode opposite Peter Falk as Lieutenant Columbo. This was the third time McGoohan played a Columbo killer.
In Agenda for Murder, Columbo matches wits with an unscrupulous lawyer who commits murder to avoid a scandal that would damage his political ambitions. The supporting cast includes Denis Arndt, Arthur Hill, Louis Zorich and the long-awaited return of Bruce Kirby as Sergeant Kramer.
